I thought I’d write a little about what you can expect from this blog. As you might have guessed, I’m a pretty big film fan, so prepare to see lots of reviews, opinion pieces, and incoherent rants on cinema, both new and old. There are a few gaps in my knowledge, and lots of films I either haven’t or won’t see, but I hope to have a pretty comprehensive and varied coverage. In that vein, I’m going to kick off the blog with some thoughts and reviews on the 2016 Oscars over the next week or so.

I’m also pretty big on my British politics. As a self-identifying leftist (or, wishy-washy, pinko, commie loving, lefty liberal scumbag, if you’re that way inclined) please forgive some bias and odd bit of tribalism in my writing. I don’t pretend to deal in the absolute facts of life, just the way I see the world around me and the experiences I’ve been through.

Finally, there’ll probably be the occasional article on my life, but I promise only if I have something interesting to say. I enjoy travelling and eating, so when I have a particularly good or bad time doing either of those things, you might get to hear about it. I’m also a History student at the University of Exeter, so I might have the odd thing to write about that.
